The U11's travelled the short journey to Sidcot on Wednesday to complete their pre-season prep with a game of touch. The squad was split in half and two fast paced games ensued. The weather forecast turned out to be inaccurate and instead of dodging the showers as was predicted, we ended up on the receiving end of a torrent!!! Despite the ball being slippery, the players did amazingly well at passing and running forward in the wet conditions. Some extremely impressive whole team tries was the the result with the ball being passed up and down the line with gusto! Our 'iron curtain' defence stood the test of Sidcot attacks, but towards the end of the games it did break down a little with holes appearing for the opposition to run through. This didn't mar a fabulous afternoon for Wells and the coaching team were extremely impressed. Well done everyone. A cracking start by one and all.
