Wells V Queens

Wednesday 2nd October 2019

GAME 1

POM: Darcy Burmester

FIRST CENTRE: Queens

Queen's A team started the game with strength and determination, the ball was quickly pushed into our defensive area on numerous occasions and Wells battled hard to keep the ball away. Darcey Burmester our GK made some momentous kicks with the ball and remained focused defending the goal. However, Queens placed themselves perfectly in the goal and lifted the ball into the goal. The team continued to battle through the game and chased players and demonstrated some good channelling, however, this was not the game to be complacent. We needed more energy and determination to win the ball.

Great learning experience and Wells remained positive - lots of lessons learnt in this game.

GAME 2

POM:Maria Konstantinou

FIRST CENTRE:Wells

This game was a much better-matched game, the teams were like for like and both completing some strong hits, using width and attempts at goal. Wells are keen to score after a long first match and their efforts paid off with some glorious shots at goal.

After an hour playing hockey, Wells girls were tired but ended a great afternoon of hockey.

WELL DONE WELLS!!!!
